DECA continues to be a leader in supporting key educational initiatives through its comprehensive learning program, including competitive events. DECA’s Integrated Marketing Campaign Events directly supports Career Clusters®, National Curriculum Standards and 21st Century Skills. DECA’s Integrated Marketing Campaign Events provide an opportunity for the participants to demonstrate promotional knowledge and skills needed by marketing personnel. Participants in the Integrated Marketing Campaign Events will develop an integrated marketing campaign of no more than 45 days in length for a real event, product, or service, and present the campaign in a role-play situation to a prospective client/advertiser.

Integrated Marketing is an approach to creating a unified and seamless experience for consumers to interact with the brand/enterprise; it attempts to meld all aspects of marketing communication such as advertising, sales promotion, public relations, direct marketing, and social media, through their respective mix of tactics, methods, channels, media, and activities, so that all work together as a unified force. It is a process designed to ensure that all messaging and communications strategies are consistent across all channels and are centered on the customer.
