Sarah Williams is the assistant director of DECA’s high school division. Her responsibilities include chapter recruitment and onboarding, developing innovative tools and resources for chapters, managing DECA’s emerging leader series, managing DECA’s chapter and member engagement and recognition programs and leveraging the executive officer team to support the high school division goals.
Sarah brings her experience as a DECA chapter advisor and chartered association advisor to her position that focuses on providing chapter services. Most recently, Sarah served as a CTE Specialist for the Tennessee Department of Education. Sarah holds a bachelor’s degree in human resource development and a master’s in business/marketing education from the University of Tennessee as well as an Ed.S. from Lincoln Memorial University. Her career in education began in 2003 at Karns High School in Knoxville, Tennessee, where she pioneered the marketing education and DECA program. Sarah’s passion for career and technical education led her to serve multiple roles within Tennessee DECA, from local chapter advisor to district conference coordinator and Tennessee DECA chartered association advisor.
