Walgreens’ commitment to DECA began in 1966. We are currently a member of the National Advisory Board (NAB).

We need future leaders to help bring quality health care and support to every community.

Recruit Top Talent

DECA members are more prepared to transition from school to work and advance professionally more quickly than their peers.

Build Positive Brand Recognition

Becoming involved with a DECA team is a great way to build brand awareness to potential employees, customers, and the general public

Engagement and Development

Based on your level of involvement, DECA teams offer an array of activities to participate in with your employees. Activities range from day-long commitments at events and competitions to more substantial participation in community projects.

How Employees Can Engage with DECA

There are several ways to get involved with DECA at the local level. The most popular way is to judge at state-level conferences, where you can gain direct exposure to the talent within your particular state. Additionally, you can adopt/sponsor a local DECA chapter where you cannot only provide monetary support, but also serve as a business liaison. Business liaisons can provide direction on student projects for the school year, as well as provide a business partnership within the community that the students can utilize to market their creative and business ideas.
