DECA PARTNERSHIP

The U.S. Army is one of the largest and most important government organizations in the United States. It is made up of dedicated, respected Soldiers who protect America’s freedoms while serving at home and abroad. The Army is also the largest grantor of college scholarships in the United States and the creator of a diverse portfolio of no-cost educational programs and resources for students and teachers.

The U.S. Army has partnered with DECA for nearly 20 years. This partnership is driven by a shared commitment to engage and inspire dedicated youth to reach their potential and ensure the broadest number of young people have opportunities to build skills, gain education and learn to be leaders.

The Army has an annual presence at the International Career Development Conference, hosting an exhibit booth, participating as mentors and competitive event judges, offering remarks on leadership and awarding DECA students with tens of thousands in college scholarships. The Army also supports the Emerging Leader Summit, where Army Soldiers help DECA students to develop their leadership skills and abilities.
