What makes Saunders College of Business a unique experience?

With a vision to be the first choice for enterprising students and creative enterprises, Saunders College of Business attracts students who possess a curiosity that drives them and who place a premium on entrepreneurial thinking and innovative solutions.

At Saunders, students come first. They get an innovative edge and access to the vast resources in business, technology, and design that can only be found at Rochester Institute of Technology. Through an expansive and powerful RIT minors program, business students share classrooms with artists, designers, engineers, and computer scientists. This gives Saunders graduates the ability to differentiate themselves successfully, within a crowded job market.

Plus, with strong corporate connections built through a strong tradition of cooperative education, Saunders delivers an applied curriculum that prepares students to be career-ready DAY ONE upon graduation. The result’s a perfect match for employers and a 94% placement rate.

Strong industry connections allow Saunders to offer programs and courses that are relevant to today’s business needs. Capstone projects conducted for real businesses, Saunders Student Consulting, r©sum© building objectives, and an applied focus help deliver solutions to businesses and provide real-world experiences for students. Backed by one of the oldest and largest cooperative educational programs in the world, Saunders graduates experience 94% placement rates.

Businesses value entrepreneurial thinking and innovation more than ever before. The Saunders undergraduate program is #21 in the country for entrepreneurship (BusinessWeek 2013) and offers unique programming like the Biz 1-2 program where first-year undergraduate students develop businesses from conception to commercialization. Plus with RIT resources such as the #1 student innovation center in the nation, Venture Creations Incubator, Saunders Student Consulting, and over 200 clubs to join, a strong enterprising culture exists outside the classroom.

Saunders College of Business attracts enterprising students who are able to explore their passions and curiosity, applying business concepts to their personal interests. By using an elective, minor, or concentration, students complement their business education through course offerings at any of the 9 RIT colleges that are nationally recognized in technology, arts, and design. This allows students to develop a unique personal brand that stands out in the job market upon graduation, while creating tomorrow’s businesses and careers.

By design, Saunders is built to give students the attention and guidance they need throughout their program. The largest classroom at Saunders seats only 40 students, guaranteeing small class sizes. And, with low student-to-faculty ratios, our faculty is highly accessible and committed to the personal success of each student. Plus, all classes are taught by faculty members, while each student gets a dedicated team of advisors including: academic, career, financial aid, and a faculty advisor.

Saunders College of Business is one of nine colleges at Rochester Institute of Technology and is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB). Recognized and ranked, Saunders is home to more than 1,000 enrolled undergraduate and graduate students.

Saunders College works in partnership with RIT’s entrepreneurial Venture Creations incubator and top ranked Albert J. Simone Center for Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship to integrate business education with RIT’s world-leading technical and creative programs.
