Carter Christensen

Your DECA National President, Carter Christensen, is a four-year DECA member and three-term association president from Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Carter’s experience in DECA has created a lasting impact on his life by providing him with opportunities to make a difference in his community as well as in the lives of other DECA members. Carter is absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to serve DECA members from all across the globe!

As association president of South Dakota DECA, Carter created a stronger relationship between DECA and MDA, honored members who achieved success at conferences, increased DECA’s name recognition in the business community, represented DECA at dozens of civic and public events, and advocated for Career and Technical Student Organizations at the South Dakota state capitol.

In addition to participating in DECA, Carter enjoys serving and volunteering in the community as well as being an active musician. He loves to travel, to meet new people, and to experience what life is like in other parts of the country. In fact, after serving as National DECA President, Carter aspires to study abroad in foreign countries.

Carter is looking forward to connecting with members, creating new ideas, and communicating the importance of DECA to everyone so that each member has the opportunity to Make It Count!
