Kathy Onion

As a program assistant, Kathy Onion is one of the Corporate and External Affairs Department’s most experienced team members. For 14 years, she has helped to successfully manage and execute some of DECA's most important partnership programs, including scholarships, mystery shopper and employment, among others. Today, Kathy’s primary areas of responsibility are assisting with DECA's scholarship program, managing the corporate and external affairs pages on DECA's website and supporting corporate partners' advertising and exhibit activities.

Prior to joining the DECA staff, she worked in college and university admissions. Kathy holds a bachelor’s of arts degree from the University of Florida.
