Julie Kandik

Julie Kandik is the director of DECA Images, the official source for DECA related products, apparel and educational materials. She provides leadership for all aspects of the operation, including merchandising, marketing, customer service, order processing, shipping, accounting, staff supervision and administration. Every dollar of profit earned goes to support programs for DECA members and advisors.

Prior to joining DECA Inc., Julie worked as a marketing teacher-coordinator, career and technical education department chairperson and lead mentor at Freedom High School and marketing teacher-coordinator at Broad Run High School, both in Loudoun County, Virginia. During her tenure, Julie led her students to gold level certification in DECA’s school-based enterprise program and also served as a contributing writer for School Store Operations, a textbook authored by DECA Inc. and published in conjunction with Thomson South-Western.

Julie earned a bachelor’s of science in apparel management with a concentration in design from the Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science and a master’s of education in marketing education from Bowling Green State University.
