Sandra Tucker

Assistant Director, High School Division

Sandra Tucker is an assistant director in DECA’s high school division. Her primary responsibilities include chapter development, membership development and leadership and recognition programs. Sandra serves as an advisor to the national high school officer team and a mentor for new DECA advisors. Additionally, she coordinates chapter campaigns, the Emerging Leader Honor Award and the five leadership academies offered at DECA’s International Career Development Conference.

Sandra joined the DECA staff in 2012 after serving as a chapter advisor and marketing teacher in Virginia for 14 years. During her tenure as an advisor, she managed a chapter as small as 65 members and as large as 301 members. Sandra also served on Virginia DECA’s Board of Trustees, was a mentor-teacher, coached 12 Virginia association officers, managed a successful school-based enterprise and led her chapter to earn recognition at the district, association and international levels.

A former DECA member at the collegiate level, Sandra earned a bachelor’s of science degree in marketing education from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and a master’s degree from Marymount University in elementary education.
