Christopher Young

Christopher Young is the director of DECA’s high school division, providing leadership in the areas of program development, member services, conferences and events to the organization’s division that serves more than 190,000 members in 3,500 chapters. In addition, Christopher coordinates DECA’s communications and manages DECA’s brand.

Most recently, Christopher served three years as DECA Inc.’s assistant high school division director, where his efforts focused on membership development, advisor professional development and publications.

Prior to joining DECA Inc., Christopher served as state advisor for Missouri DECA and Collegiate DECA, where he developed innovative programs, posted record membership increases and successfully ran national officer candidates in both divisions. Concurrently, he also served as state supervisor for business, marketing and information technology education at the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, providing leadership in program management, curriculum and professional development for 560 business, marketing and cooperative education programs.

A former DECA member, Christopher earned a bachelor of educational studies degree from the University of Missouri where he also attained minors in journalism and marketing.
