NFIB Young Entrepreneur Foundation

Member since 1974

The National Federation for Independent Business Young Entrepreneur Foundation (NFIB/YEF) is one of DECA’s most important business partners and first joined the National Advisory Board in 1974.

Together NFIB/YEF and DECA have worked to:

· Develop the next generation of small business owners

· Foster a better understanding of the importance of entrepreneurship in the American free enterprise system

· Support the classroom instruction of entrepreneurship

NFIB/YEF, a 501(c)(3) organization, is NFIB’s educational arm. By promoting the lessons of free enterprise in the classroom, YEF hopes to build the next generation of small business owners and entrepreneurs. YEF educates young people about the critical role of small business in the American free enterprise system, provides scholarships to students who are already small business owners and supports teachers with free entrepreneurial curriculum.
