Winners announced in DECA/Publix Brand Champion Challenge

Three teams of DECA members were named finalists in the first annual DECA/Publix Brand Champion Challenge.

Participants in the DECA/Publix Brand Champion Challenge presented ideas to Publix Super Markets executives at the company headquarters in Lakeland, FL on March 29, 2011 to create awareness of the numerous career opportunities available at the popular grocery chain. The top three participant teams were:

• 1st Place | Justin Lee and Kyle Woods - Riverdale High School in Murfreesboro, TN
  $1,000 cash prize awarded by Publix
• 2nd Place | Yanna Banks and Lia Poulson - Whitewater High School in Fayetteville, GA
  $500 cash prize awarded by Publix
• 3rd Place | Chelsea Hulan, Valerie Quintero, and Kelsey Webster - Riverdale High School in Murfreesboro, TN
  $250 cash prize awarded by Publix
