On Saturday, November 5 at DECA's Innovations and Entrepreneurship Conference in Chicago, IL the grand prize winners were announced for the second annual DeVry Innovation and Entrepreneurship Challenge. Congratulations to Zachary Fernandes, Robert Gonsalves and John Meleedy from Apponequet Regional High School (MA). As grand prize winners the team members will receive a travel stipend to attend DECA's International Career Development Conference in Salt Lake City, UT and will be invited to meet executives at DeVry University's headquarters in Chicago, IL.
Participants in the challenge presented ideas to launch innovative business concepts related to technology, environmental sustainability, personal health, or tourism. The preliminary round of competition was conducted online as participants presented ideas via YouTube videos. The final round of competition was held in Chicago, IL on Friday, November 4 at DECA's Innovations and Entrepreneurship Conference as finalists presented their innovative ideas to a panel of DeVry executives.
