DECA’s Executive Officers are elected by the student members to provide leadership for the current academic year. As our primary student public relations agents, DECA’s Executive Officers represent more than 219,000 members to a variety of key stakeholders, including fellow members, advisors, education administrators, business partners, public policymakers and more. They also develop a program of work to assist in the implementation of DECA Inc.’s strategic plan.


The President’s Council is a group of Association Presidents who interact on a monthly basis to network, learn about DECA Inc. programs and share ideas among Associations. This council will meet on the 2nd Sunday of every month at 9:00 p.m. EST, and it will be led by the Executive President, Donald LeCompte, and one of DECA’s Regional Vice Presidents. The Association’s Council is a group of representatives from each of the Association Officer teams in each Region who interact on a bi-monthly basis to network, become informed about upcoming DECA Inc. programming, and share ideas among their Region. The Association Council is also an opportunity for officers to enhance their experience as officers by becoming more knowledgeable about DECA Inc. and different forms of programming that occurs within their Region. This council will meet the first Sunday of every month (except in January) at 9:00 p.m. EST, and will be led by your Regional Vice President. The IMPACT Program is designed to encourage chartered association officer teams to develop association-wide plans that encourage their chapter members to increase the net impact of their efforts around specific DECA related categories. Associations can submit short videos or posters which showcase the impact an Association Officer Team has made on their members in the following categories: Advocacy, Community Outreach, DECA Month/Global Entrepreneurship Week, Membership, and Partner/Sponsor Outreach. Associations who have been selected as making the largest IMPACT on their members will be recognized at ICDC.
