Who Should Attend

This institute is designed for teachers of business, marketing, finance, hospitality and entrepreneurship courses. Advising a DECA chapter is not a prerequisite.

Get an overview of DECA’s entrepreneurship activities including high school and college competitive events, school-based enterprises and Idea Challenge 2013. Learn how to use these learning activities to complement instruction while students develop critical thinking skills.

Institute Location

The Best Practices Institute for Educational Excellence is held at Johnson & Wales University in North Miami, Florida.

Registration and Hotel Information

$400 registration fee includes three nights lodging with two per room*, training materials, eight meals and transportation to/from the airport and institute sessions. Single rooms are available for an additional $225 upgrade charge.

*Participants are responsible for securing roommates. When possible, DECA will assist in connecting registrants who wish to share a room. When one person per room, the single rate applies.

Institute sessions will be conducted on the Johnson & Wales University campus with accommodations at a nearby hotel. Complimentary transportation provided from hotel to Johnson & Wales University campus.
