Collegiate DECA ICDC Online Testing Begins

All testing for #CDECAICDC participants in the Individual Case Study Events will be administered using an online testing platform between April 1-12, 2024. On April 1, DECA will send the primary chapter advisor testing tickets and instructions for online testing.

When is the testing window?

April 1-12, 2024

Are there additional steps to use the online testing site?

All registration must be received by DECA Inc. no later than March 15, 2024. All students in the registration system by March 15, 2024, will be uploaded into the testing site. Proctor information must be submitted by March 27, 2024.

What happens if a student misses the testing window?

  • If there were technical issues, contact Michael Mount at michael@deca.org.
  • If there are extenuating circumstances, contact Christy Rutherford at christy@deca.org.

What is the deadline for changes?

The deadline for any changes is the end of the testing window: 12:00 Midnight Eastern Time on April 12, 2024.

Who qualifies to proctor the exam?

A college faculty or staff member may proctor the exam. Students may not proctor the test. Written instructions will be provided for proctors and support hours are below.

Is there a required testing location?

No; however, a qualified proctor must be in place.

What if a student attempts to leave the test?

If students move away from the test into a separate browser or application, they have only three seconds to return to the testing window or their test will be submitted and scored. Students must notify their proctor after submitting the test if they clicked out of the testing window but were able to resume testing.

What are the security measures for online testing?

  • Every test has the same questions and answers. However, the questions are randomized.
  • Students should be made aware that the move away feature is turned on and that is recording the action that the student is taking by moving away from the exam.
  • Proctors must constantly monitor students while taking the exam.

What hours of support will be available to advisors/members/proctors?

  • Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.: Call 703-860-5000 and ask for Collegiate DECA Online Testing.
  • Monday – Friday from 4:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.: Call or text 737-808-3322

What are the consequences of not abiding by all proctor and testing policies?

If anything out of the ordinary happens throughout the process, a contact support line above immediately. Consequences will be on a case-by-case basis.

What if a student has a requirement for longer test taking time, larger font size or is on a specific learning plan?

All Special Needs Forms must be received by DECA Inc. no later than March 29, 2024.
