May was an exciting month for me. Ending high school and preparing for college were the major things I did this month. I got to pick my roommates and courses for my first semester at Johnson & Wales. I cannot wait to start my first year of college. In high school, my DECA chapter appointed new chapter officers as the senior officers said farewell to Northampton DECA. It was a bittersweet moment for all of us but I know we left our chapter in good hands.

I also attended the Sports/Entertainment Marketing conference with the Pittsburgh Pirates hosted by PA DECA. At this conference, the current/new state officers hosted chapters from PA as we all learned the benefits and different aspects of this career field. We also enjoyed a baseball game and free Pirates jerseys. It was a very exciting conference for me since I plan to major in Sports/Entertainment marketing.

As May ends, I prepare to graduate from Northampton High School. I am nervous leaving everything I know behind, but I cannot wait for my new future at JWU. It will be a difficult transition but I can do it! Goodbye Northampton and Northampton DECA. I will miss you all so much!
