A Challenge to the Southern Region

2011-12-16

With the first semester of the 2012 year almost complete, I would like to take the time to say: Congratulations! I hope that all of you have taken advantage of your time in school this semester by Aspiring Higher through your studies. For the many who were lucky enough to travel to Little Rock, Arkansas last month, I want to thank you for making the conference a success. I had so much fun working with all of you (especially during our night of line dancing). We truly Aspired Higher and proved that the Southern Region is full of amazingly enthusiastic members. Southern Region DECA, now is the time to start counting down for competition.

Whether you are taking a test or writing a 30 page manual, your DECA knowledge should be preparing you for the future! If you have any questions with competition or events feel free to contact any member of the National Officer Team. Remember, we are here for you! The DECA competitive events were designed to enhance your professional skills as well as your knowledge of business. As I look back through my DECA past, the one thing I truly miss is being able to compete. If you do not take advantage of these events, I can promise that you will miss them once your DECA journey is over. As your Southern Region Vice President, I strive to make the Southern Region as successful as possible. So start studying, preparing and working with other members or myself on your competitive event. Since we are the largest region, I know we will have outstanding results at ICDC. I now challenge you to start making the Southern Region competitively strong, today! Have a wonderful winter break. Be safe and enjoy the holiday season!
