Perseverance: A Learned Process

Simply I say, each day is a new day. Often times, we as college students focus on things that are, frankly insignificant. All tasks we set out to accomplish can be thought of as complex or simple as we so choose. I encourage each of you not to back down from goals some might call unattainable; the fact of the matter is, I encourage you to set the bar even higher next time. If you choose to call yourself a member of Collegiate DECA, I know without a doubt that ANYTHING is possible.

Having the pleasure of serving the students of Collegiate DECA is one of the most humbling, life changing, and pleasant experiences I have been involved in yet. One thing I have learned thus far is that you will never learn a single thing unless you strive to not only think but thrive outside of the box. Sure, I have had shortcomings but the shortcomings are not what are remembered. The ability to prove one's resilience by exemplifying character traits such as perseverance is what will be remembered. No matter what sector of industry you see yourself a part of, post-graduation, personal and professional growth is something vital to a solid foundation.

I hope to see each of you in New York City at Collegiate DECA's Collegiate Leadership Academy. This is the perfect opportunity to get the internal overview of what goes on in one of the world's most commerce saturated cities.
